Genre and narrative

1)The main or leading character in a film/novel ect.

2)The bad guy(s) inn a story/film ect. The opposite of the main character.

3)The main character's helper.

Genre is the Term for any category of literature or entertainment, based on a set of common conventions.

Genre is a style or category of art, music, or literature.


Science fiction

Conventions: New technology, the future, time travel, space travel, space ships.

Example: Star Trek, the martian

Horror

Conventions: Gothic, Monsters, Halloween, Killing/murder, 

Example: Candy man, The forever purge, Brahms:the boy II

Action

conventions: Hero's/villains, Car chase, guns, Exciting stunts

Example:Suicide squad, free guy, Casino royal

Musical

Conventions: Catchy music, dancing, upbeat, cheerful

Example: Step up, into the woods

Comedy

Conventions:Funny, misunderstanding, funny character personalities

Example:Last christmas, Adams family

Adventure

Conventions:

Example:Jumanji, Jungle cruise


Title:Hawk of Joy

Genre:

Equilibrium:This old guy had a Hawk, this Hawk was kind and seemed to be this old guy's best and only family. The Hawk took care of this old guy who was very sick and dying and everyone in town knew it and so they loved the hawk. This Hawk brought joy to everyone who came across it. This bird had befriended everyone in the village/town.

Disruption:But one day, the old guy, the Hawk's owner died peacefully in his sleep and obviously, because this guy had no family, the Hawk was taken away by the NSPCA or something like that and the bird didn't like that because this old guy was his best friend and he had just died so the Hawk was kind of sad and then he had been taken away and contained in this weird new place.He didn't know this place and he was kind of scared on top of all of this sadness.

Recognition of disruption:Everyone else in the village/town soon realised that there was something wrong with the Hawk or something so they went to the old guy's apartment place to see if everything was alright and found out from a guy walking down the stairs that the Hawk had been taken away because the owner had died. The village people were all quite unhappy about this as they all loved the Hawk. 

Attempt to solve disruption:Everyone in the village pulled together to do something to get the Hawk back.

New equilibrium:The Village people would get the Hawk back and the Hawk would have its own giant kind of bird house in the town center and would continue to be loved by everyone who came across it for the rest of its life. The Hawk was also like a delivery bird and like a therapy bird ect. 

The Hawk would go on to live a long happy life doing good things for the village people to repay their Kindness when they basically rescued him from the animal rescue center.

The main characters are the Hawk which looks like a normal Hawk and the old guy was kind of well he looked gross as if he hadn't washed in a while.

media language analysis

Thursday 7 th October 2021 analyse a media text using media language This is a mid long shot and it is used because it is drawing attention to his facial expression, body language and it is easy to see what he is wearing and his gun and holster. The picture tells us that 1 he is wealthy because of the clothes that he is wearing as they look pretty brand new and he usually wears like new suites and tuxedos, also because he is wearing a watch that looks like it could be pretty expensive. Also he looks like an assassin because he is dressed like a normal person other that his gun and holster which of course adds to the assassin look. The background sis painted gold which makes us assume (if we hadn't already watched it) that he is important and special and we would assume that he is the main character. The gold is painted onto what looks like the wall of some suspicious alleyway or something witch is a bit sketchy and also makes us think that he is up to something. gun shooting-becau
